From natural disasters, unexpected losses, unforeseen expenses, or other emergencies, we understand that things do not always go to plan, and when that happens, we’re here for you.
From emergency assistance grants, to providing practical support, to offering goods and services, to helping you find external support, Friends of Hudson’s Hope are always ready to provide whatever help we can when it’s needed most.

Eligibility and Application Process.
The application process begins when you contact us. Please either visit the Friends of Hudson’s Hope Thrift Store during our regular opening hours, or contact us.
To expedite your claim, please have as much of the following information available as possible.
- Details of the crisis, emergency, or financial hardship.
- Details of direct and indirect costs incurred, or anticipated.
- Proof of financial status (income sources and regular expenses).
- Details of other societies, organizations, benevolence funds, etc. you have applied to.
- Details of other sources of financial cover or aid for the same emergency (eg, employers benevolence program, trade unions membership, insurance, society membership, GoFundMe pages set up on your behalf, etc.)
Please also be aware that our emergency assistance programs are designed to one-time or short term assistance during periods of unexpected financial hardships, exceptional crises, or other unforeseeable emergencies.
This fund is not designed for support of long-term need. As such, please note that there are maximum limits on the amount we can provide per claim, the amount of claims that you can apply for each year, and lifetime claim limits for related claims.
